Fortunately Web site building is a very clean business so we promise not to make a mess of your carpet. We use a variety of software development tools in the construction of web sites. Other developers prefer to hand-code all their HTML code. We, however, find that an appropriate use of software tools can be used to speed up the development process.

Using a web site development tool is particularly handy at the design option stage when the main consideration is look and feel. The software enables us to produce working web site mock ups quickly and easily. Software tools like Adobe Golive, Microsoft Frontpage and Macromedia's Dreamweaver can and are, used to produce some stunning sites. But they can also produce bloated, inefficient code.

Which is why we jump in with both feet when it comes to the final production version and tweak or write fresh HTML, Javascript and Java code as appropriate.

However, our use of content management systems such as our own MindYourOwnWebSite software, Joomla! or Mambo Open Source, has now overtaken conventional development for the deployment of sites. This means we do not need to be involved in tweaking html code. Our time is more effectively utilised in producing web sites that help the client in their activities in a much shorter timescale than previously required for the same  or similar end-result.
